Heart & Home

Heart & Home

In our modern world, the luxury of working from home is readily available. For some, this can be problematic for the easily distracted, and the procrastinators.

Working from home requires additional discipline and into your entrepreneurial job to create an environment that makes you most productive.

We lived in our home for over 10 years. We moved here when I was pregnant with my first daughter. Like most crazy, hormonal, sleep deprived new families, we began renovations right after she was born. Looking back, that's so crazy! But I hear it's very common.

As a newly married couple, my husband and I haven't settled into our domestic roles yet – that is what were best mates is most happy. When we were picking out finishes and designing our kitchen, I let him make all the decisions, just chiming in and choosing the colour of our cabinets and style. Back then, the earth tones & Italian Tuscan style, dark brown, with so in. I too, was only 26 years old, and had no established definitive style yet. Today, I evolved and know what I like, and what makes me most productive in my environment.

It's taken me a while (like three times) to redecorate to identify what makes my heart sing, and looking back over the years about what decor choices were made… are cringy.

Take a look at some before pics….

Some poor decorating choices…. how much furniture can I fit into a room? And yellow walls? Eek

Today, our spaces are harmonious and airy to foster maximum production and creativity.
